Dr. John Hellrung MD. is board certified in general pediatrics and practiced general pediatrics for 34 years, followed by 6 years at the University of Florida Congenital Heart Center outpatient clinic.  His areas of interest include the pediatric cardiac physical exam as well as EKG interpretation in the pediatric athlete.He received his medical degree as a member of the first medical school class at the University of South Florida. He finished his residency training at the University of Florida.  He served in the US army as a pediatrician.  Dr Hellrung is a member of the AOA honor medical society. Outside interests include a 27 year career as a high school Varsity basketball coach.
